That's why we needed a heavy D draft early and often.

What are they adding up for this ranking? Cap hit? Average annual value? I think both are cyclical and mostly meaningless in terms of matching talent to cost. For example, Justin Jefferson's cap hit in the first year of his extension was $8M. In 2027, it's $49M. Also, I think if you added back Harry, Hargrave, Allen and Greenard, the Vikings would be nearer the top.

this is a bit misleading as BFlo has only been here for 3 drafts. In that time he has had;
2026 Banks 18, Golday 51, Orange 82. and Thomas 98. 2025 they only had a single pick in top 100. 2024 Dallas Turner 17 and they didn't have another pick until 108.
In BFlo's tenure he has had 62.5 % of top 100 picks...

I would guess Mr. JIT was not counting this year.
This shows the cost of having 0 picks between 25-101 in the 23-25 drafts. The Rams, Eagles, Seahawks, etc. all have defensive stars on rookie deals. The Vikings have been patching holes with mid-level FA's (Cashman, Wilson, AVG, Murphy...) who still cost far more than draft picks. If Golday, Orange, Tiernan and Thomas all hit, their cap hit will be under $10 million combined... in 2029. Talk about cheap labor.
