The Gambler Heads To The Draft
Your move, Mr T.

Well, IMO, some team is going to use a 2nd round pick on him in the supplemental Draft. He's highly rated, some early draft services have him the #2 QB behind Arch Manning. I think the odds are low that Minnesota pulls the trigger, but what a way to start off the Teasley era in Minnesota if somehow it were to happen....shocking. He's got a big arm, he's mobile and accurate. 6'3", 234 lbs....nice sized kid.

Yah it's a matter of when not if...I dont think it's MN though, too complicated of a QB room right now.

My guess is 3rd round at the earliest, most likely a 4th round selection if he declares. Having a significant gambling addiction is going to give any team some second thoughts and concerns selecting him.

You could be spot on with this line of thinking. 👍

The sheer volume of bets (2900) and the amount of money he gambled, despite knowing it was against NCAA rules, is worrisome. The fact that he worked so hard to hide it by placing many of his bets through the accounts of family members shows an alarming level of desperation. Is this Art Schlichter? He too went through counseling—years of it—but just kept relapsing.
I watched some of his clips yesterday and he's definitely got some talent. I just don't think we're ready to take a QB. Imagine the wrench that throws into an already tense QB room. And isn't that draft this summer? If so, then whoever they draft has to fit on THIS year's roster, and our QB room is kinda full at the moment. UNLESS....
...no, I won't say it.

I have trouble piecing it together for MN...
And Schlichter is a good example to cite.

It’s definitely a very slim chance. I might have a better shot at Penny Lane than the Vikings pulling the trigger.

I would use one of the vikings 3rd round picks
Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby, slated to be one of college football's top prospects, will serve a two-game suspension as part of the ruling. In addition, he officially won't be eligible to participate in the NFL's Supplemental Draft. https://t.co/6PYSsyxTKM

Probably for the best.

Honestly cleans up some issues not only for the Vikings but also other teams. I still think 2nd/3rd round is Sorsby's ceiling with the gambling issues and still most likely a 4th. You pick a QB to be your leader.

Is this guy even draftable with the gambling addiction? Yes, he has talent but lots of talented guys have gone undrafted for less.
Normally I would strongly agree...But it is a QB w/traits, so someone will gamble on him. 😁
