Looking forward to a big bounce back year for Jefferson. I think he is going to light it up. Kyler, let's try and keep the hospital balls to a minimum though lol.
Justin Jefferson might sit out Saturday
Coach Kevin O'Connell said they will get through a short-yardage period, like they would on Fridays before a Sunday game, as they prepare for Saturday's preseason opener.
At least one starter, receiver Justin Jefferson, is not practicing. He is standing with his teammates on the sideline without a helmet, indicating he may not play against the Giants.
That would not be shocking at all since Jefferson has never played a preseason snap. O'Connell indicated Tuesday that at least some, if not most, starters will play alongside quarterback Kyler Murray.

I think Jefferson is going to smash this season too. With our defense idk if it’s the smartest strategy but I’m not sure our coach cares. I think we get back to the explosives on O this year with Kyler running it.
Kyler and Brandel with a botched exchange in walkthrough 😅

So this is why I advocated so hard relentlessly over the last three or four weeks to get QB 1 reps. It sounds like Kyler Murray is just taking off and getting better with each practice.

Yah, almost like a light switch...
Gotta be mental too, even with a pro athlete.
Keeping fingers crossed for good health and good things 🤞

McCarthy getting some work in with the 1’s in the red zone, finds Hock for the TD.

I know people are worried about the center position, totally fair. But I wouldn’t really blame Brandel. The dude has been the definition of a team player here for years doing whatever the team asked of him, including this. Even if they end up pursuing other options for a starting…

I love that he took off too after he was named the starter. I can't help but think though, is that a mental weakness? You have to be named the starter to take off the way you did? Like the people that need to be right and want people to acknowledge them. I always look at those people and think they have major character flaws. IDK just a thought, I guess. It is a relief that it is all over and we can move on. I am hoping we see a great year 🙂

Yep. I'll always love my boy, but I can still read the writing on the wall and understand what a competent and confident QB like Murray brings to guys that bust their ass, love competing and want all of their hard work to mean something if they are going to grind and put their bodies on the line. When I see K1 starting to take flight a bit, its very encouraging. If our Short King is motivated....maybe unlike any other time in his professional career....well hell: I'm certainly not going to put a cap on the upside with this surround. Give 'em hell, dude....

I think he’ll end up being QB2

Don't forget to pay CA his MONEY!!!!! Let's go KYLER!!! I never doubted you 😎
For real though, it is very encouraging and I wish Kyler the best. I want to have a fun season, and I believe he will give us plenty to cheer about. I am very much looking forward to the season.

I think the best thing for the Vikings is to have JJ as #2. I believe KOC and JJ know that too.

I had the same thought. It is a bit concerning. On the other hand, it is not the adversity of an opposing team. He may be just fine when the game is on the line. Looking forward to the real games when we get to see how the team actually plays!

And he doesn’t even know the offense this system is completely different than anything he’s been in. Very encouraging.

He’s half Asian, so he’s smart. 😂🤘🏻
