Play Jettas this week?
I'm sure there is a contingent that says if he's ready? You play him.
I bet they don't though...Not right b4 the bye?
==========================================
Minnesota Vikings star wide receiver Justin Jefferson has an ankle sprain, according to the MRI performed Monday, and there's a chance he'll be able to play Sunday against the visiting Miami Dolphins.
"He avoided anything long term. It's just going to be about progressing throughout the week and where we can get him to from a standpoint of getting the swelling out and then what kind of work week he can have," Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell said Monday. "But I was very encouraged to get that news today."

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
No with the injury to dolphins rb I think we hold then to a 0 points let jj rest the ankle
If he can play, they’ll absolutely send him out there.
They literally can’t afford to let K1 lay another turd. Especially after today and especially at US Bank.
They need to everything they can to make sure Kyler is successful at home, or he’s gonna get booed out of the stadium
They have to play Jefferson if he's close to ready. Without him we might score 6 points. It wasn't just Kyler. The other WR's couldn't beat single coverage, and KOC's "what's a checkdown?" play designs left Murray nowhere to go. By the end of the 3rd Kyler looked like he'd given up, was just airmailing balls in the general direction of WR's that he knew when he got the playcall wouldn't be open.
If he doesn't play, I would move someone else up to the WR #2 as Jennings is pretty much useless. They can double Addison as Jennings is no threat to do anything. There was a reason the 49ers had no interest in bringing him back and we were able to get him on the contract that we did. I would put Price and Felton over him.
You need to play him if he's ready. Can't be another offensive stinker at U.S. Bank. Are we sure Kyler has passed concussion protocol? 😉

Someone needs a "Bat Signal" they can shine over the stadium saying "KOC - Run a slant pass you meathead!"
Swear to god the man has never heard of a slant pass. Get it out of the QBs hands quick and let JJ and JA get YAC which they are very capable of doing.

I agree, I thought the bye week was right after Mia, giving him 2 full weeks to heal it.

Only 53 years
Smart play would be to shelve him this week, but it'll be a rough 2 weeks if they lay an egg on offense against the "worst team in the league" win or not.
I'd probably expect to see him on a pitch count.

Same as me, I really hope you are correct but my guess is this game is going to be much closer than you assume.
I'm not saying. We score a lot either but i think the def plays lights out

They were beating coverage on some plays and Murray just either wasn't able to see them, or wasn't willing to make a pro level throw. Its not always the receiver that isnt getting the job done. I think Murray is as much of the problem as anything....adjusting the route tree could help, but by throwing shorter routes that pulls the DBs down and hurts the run game, which most of us can agree is finally a part of the O that is working.
I think the micropasser is the issue, get someone that can see over the line and will throw the ball with anticipation and confidence and see what happens.
And yes, if Jets is medically ok to go, he goes IMO

The Bucs were blitzing and covering the short routes and the middle of the field early in the game. The exact places where Murray typically has done well. They were basically forcing him to take deep shots and we got one TD, coulda had 1-2 more if Kyler makes good throws. KOC was trying to get him in a rhythm early with easy completions, but the Bucs had a good game plan to take that away. We adjusted and had some opportunities.
Once we get Mason back, the run game should be better (or at least more consistent), and the hope is Murray settles in and the coaches figure out what he's comfortable with and the offense starts clicking.
And yes, if the ankle injury is minor you play Jettas if he is cleared to go. We're not paying him to sit the bench, we're paying him to make plays and take coverage attention away from our other receiving options.
If he is cleared you play him.

I am not the world's biggest Murray fan but I simply think we haven't seen enough yet to make a call. He and Jefferson have been on the field together for just 18 snaps. Jefferson is a big enough factor that it changes the game for the QB. The concussion didn't help and so I think we have to see more before we really know if it was a bad fit to bring him here or not. I did make a statement that I thought Wentz was the best QB on the roster in week 1 and I stand by that.

Yeah, that would make the most sense. And I think they have a better game plan for the plays without Jefferson.

IMO you give Murray 2 more starts, if he doesnt show better, and I mean much better than he has, you use the bye week to get Wentz ready to take the QB1 role, regardless of the results of the next 2 games....if the passing game is still struggling, then you make the move.
