With JJM gone, here are the “best” available..

Jimmy G - seems like he would be a good fit for KOCs offense given his experience with Niners/Shanahan

Nick Mullins - can operate KOCs offense and get the ball to Jefferson. Currently on the Jaguars practice squad, so would have to sign him to the 53.

Jake Browning - former Vike, Bengal, now a FA.

Josh Johnson - 40 years old, on the Bengals practice squad. I think he has played for just about every team in the league except us!

Or do we roll with Brosmer as QB3? (gulp)

I think only Mullins and Cousins make any sense at all.
No one picks up KOC's offense and looks good right away.

I honestly would love to have Kirko Chains back. The guy can throw the ball. He knows the offense.

I think KOC would have liked to have him in 2024 or even Darnold last year. But Kwesi had this, QB on a rookie contract thing he couldn’t get over. Too much with the “analytics” way to do things. The Wilfs have done some great things for the organization, but their penchant for trying new ways is annoying.

Anyone want to go back to the Triangle of Authority? It worked so well, then Kwesi and is Analytics. Just give us a Super Bowl Champion before I croak!

For me, I think a lot of it is KOC's confidence that he can take any QB and make them into the guy. Cousins peaking at mid? I can make anyone mid. No big deal to get rid of the guy. Darnold ... pretty good, but capped out lower than a SB? No big deal, I can get anyone to do that. I think the rest of the team bought into that thinking.

I think there is a lot of truth to that. KOC wins Coach of the year in 24, called the QB Whisperer, etc. Ego/hubris thinking the offensive system and play calling will be good enough to lift JJM to consistent play.

Have to admit I was checking in on the KC vs Raiders game and kind of wishing we still had Kirko (still hate his contract demands) the way he was throwing the ball lol. With BFlo and the defense, it is interesting to think about how many games we could win with a QB playing like Kirko has this year with the Raiders.
