Its a good point, but you also have to factor in he's only played a full 17 game season once in the last 4 years. The other seasons were 11, 8, and 5 games.
I hope he stays healthy now that he's the starter, love seeing him have a good day at camp yesterday. Hope he keeps it up, we're due for a fun season and some playoff wins.

No doubt he's been one of the most injury-prone QBs the NFL has seen. But I think he's due for a little luck in that department...and hopefully so are the Vikings. Maybe a better offensive line and less of a need to run will cut down on the injuries.

Just hope we don't have the fiasco with the line like last year. Seeing the QBs get punished was hard to watch. I am ready to see what Murray does. Want nothing more than for him to change my mind. We are due for a big year. He gives us the best chance to win this year. You were right. I just hope JJ can take the back up role to heart and keep learning. Try and get back for the Vikings.

The only whispers Ive heard on the radio are concerns with IOL - especially at C and with pass blocking...I dont know how much of that is real or just a symptom of the D's being ahead of the offenses so much this time of year.

Hard to say what we will get from Brandel. He is a big C however. IDK this is the first year in some time that I am just going to go with it. See what happens. I want to know if Kyler has that dawg in him. I just really liked that JJ had the locker room and KOC still went against it.

The last clips just kills me. Someone once mentioned he runs like a toddler who ran off with moms cellphone and that’s what I see every time he takes off.

Doesn’t have to be a world beater. Competent and don’t turn the ball over.

I don’t have a link so I’m not entirely sure but I believe Kyler Murray has never played with a defense rated over 25th in the NFL. And let’s just be perfectly frank. The Arizona Cardinals might be the biggest joke of a franchise in the NFL next to the Raiders.

I’m not sure I’d call his arm elite, but it’s damn good.

The Josh Rosen tie in again. Kyle is stealing my stuff.

Pretty impressive to pick up a complicated offense so quickly.

Oh he will move on and prove to us why we messed up. He literally is super young and we just give up on him.

He will take anywhere from 2-5 years to improve. If he does. The Vikings just don't have that kind of time with the team they have. There is new smoke out about how he hasn't really matured and he was still questioning the coaching staff in meetings instead of understanding the system and improving. This from a kid who didn't really throw much in college against a guy with QB and Offensive Coordinator under his belt in the NFL and a head coach. I don't know that could also just be sour grapes and someone posting junk because they just don't like the kid. But it jives with stuff I have heard too. So far JJM is saying all the right things. Whether he means it (I kind of think he does) or if it is lip service to keep his value as high as possible, who knows.

Additionally this might be the best way for this season to roll out. If Murray struggles and gets hurt (probably at some point) JJM gets to come in with less pressure. For the kid it would have been an extreme pressure cooker for him to operate with another highly drafted veteran QB on the roster, and a fanbase that can be less than easy on struggling QB's.

Is this thing STILL on?

Mike, you are spot on. This really is the best for the team. You can't go from JJ to Murray but you can go from Murray to JJ. I know that sounds weird. I do believe that he will be a very good QB once his head fully matures and he puts it all together. Kyler is the best thing for this team this year. I hope to have a lot of fun this year. Holding onto JJ is a must IMO

Max Brosmer on Kyler Murray
Quarterback Max Brosmer said Kyler Murray has "maturely" handled the competition with J.J. McCarthy when asked what he's seen from Murray behind the scenes.
"The biggest thing is the urgency to continue to grow and learn," Brosmer told the Minnesota Star Tribune. "I think for anybody coming in learning a hard, difficult offense, I think that's one of the more challenging things, especially learning our offense and having to go against one of the better defenses in the NFL, if not the best. That's a really tall task for anybody coming in. He's handled it maturely. He's handled the entire situation maturely. The entire room has done a great job embracing the situation and embracing the roles everyone is playing."
Strib

Should we be concerned with the how frequently people call our offense hard and difficult to learn?

It really brings in to question, why did we ever go down the rookie pathway if the offense is difficult enough that only veterans can really get it.
